In-browser audio tools
Split and edit audio in your browser
Chunk Audio is a browser-based audio splitter and editor. Divide long recordings into time-based chunks or make precise cuts on a waveform, arrange segments, and download your work as a ZIP.
Add an MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A, or AAC file to get started.
How to split an audio file
- Choose a file. Open an audio recording from your device. The editor reads it in your browser.
- Set your cuts. Use Chunk mode for equal time-based sections, or Manual mode to place and adjust cuts on the waveform.
- Export segments. Reorder or select the parts you need, choose MP3, WAV, or OGG, and download them in a ZIP.
Time-based chunks and manual edits
Chunk mode includes 30-second, 1-minute, 5-minute, 10-minute, 15-minute, and 30-minute presets, plus a custom duration in seconds. In Manual mode, use the blade tool to mark edit points, preview the audio, and rename, reorder, enable, or select segments before export.
Supported formats and private processing
Open MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A, and AAC audio files supported by your browser. Export the edited segments as MP3, WAV, or OGG. Audio decoding and conversion run locally in your browser; the app does not upload your audio to a server.
Before you edit
Codec support varies by browser, and very large recordings can need more memory and processing time. Keep the tab open while the browser decodes your audio and creates the ZIP download.
